1951 New York Yankees Openning Day Scorecard
Thats right. This is an openning day Scorecord where Mickey Mantle #6 played is first game as a Yankee. It was also Bob Shepard's first game as the now famous Yankees game day announcer. Both Mickey and Bob are now gone but their legacy lives on!
Mickey worn #6 at the beginning of his career and when he returned later in the season from the minors, he was given the number 7 jersey. The rest is history!
